That's important, yeah. Their last moment should be spent with the human they care for.

I think it is important to be with them if you can. At least for me. But the memories of those last few monemts are strong. It is important to keep memories of the good times stonger.

My dog had a sore paw yesterday...right before I was heading out to setup for a 3 hour gig. He was looking to me to help him, but I had no idea what happened. I was thinking about him when I was playing....especially when I saw another dog in the audience. When I got hime, he was fine. I think it was an insect sting (like a wasp). I am happy that it was not something serious.

When my pets are suffering, I dig a hole and throw a bit of fresh meat down in the hole... then they don't suffer anymore.

I have never heard Fat @Lily talk about pets. I think animals have a sixth sense and do not like her.

BIL is having to stay over another night for "observation. I guess his bp is over 180 and they're concerned about some swelling in his brain. He looks pale but you always look your worst in a hospital bed

he should get out tomorrow.

Here's hoping. People don't tend to last too long after strokes, so I hope he beats the odds on that.

@Frood While I know you are joking, that can get a person thinking. While a lot of people would be shocked and offended about what you said....they will still treat animals badly for years while they are alive. Focusing just on the last few moments of life is silly. Treat animals well for the years that you have them.

An old friend came to my gig yesterday. He has had a few episodes that seemed like a mini stroke (confused...not able to talk). But the doctors have no idea what caused it. Pretty scary.

wife is going on five years, but her stroke was a popped blood vessel in her thymus, not a clot

just a one cm bleed with healed almost instantly, but her whole right side is still somewhat numb

yeah it was nasty. she called me at work and when I showed up she was sitting on the floor white as a sheet.
