I left college to marry my sweetheart. 13 years later I had a post grad degree with no class time or off work time. It happened really quickly over weeks.
If I chased it and were willing to spend a few months in a classroom, I'd have a Masters degree... but I pride myself for not using schooling as a stepping stone.
I was a temp worker on the floor during the start, 6 years later I was a boss with a Uni rep following me around to asess my skill levels and methodologies.
