and Brits have to deal with visa issues just like the US due to Brexit. If we didn't purchase property here or invest 400,000 euros in Greek bonds we'd be limited to 90 days per 180 day period

Brexit really screwed up 100s of thousands of petsitters on TrustedHouseSitters.com which is Uk based

we get sitters from that platform when we travel. They get to stay for free and the host gets free house/pet sitting services but it's tough for Uk sitters and they have similar issues with the US (as do other countries) but Uk is isolated from US and Europe

Hot in the UK is the early 20's (Celsius). Anything in the later 20's or early 30's is a mass extinction event for them. They turn red like boiled lobsters and start throwing themselves into water fountains and duck ponds.

Having spent a week in England last year and learning that the weather was typical, I can see why. Sunlight and warm is almost a myth over there.
