As far as I can tell at this point, all of the Commonwealth countries are banging the emergency prep drum all around the world at relatively the same time. I dunno about Canada though... here they are vague and reference the upcoming bushfire season. In the UK, it's more about war or ancillary repercussions of war. What they are really saying is that oil for the masses has run out, economies are bankrupt, and they're going to do or say anything to pull a fast one.
