@Lily, I think you're right. The USA is populated with a bunch of Confederates and their descendants. I think a split of Red and Blue States in a loose confederation wouldn't be such a bad idea. 2 Supreme Courts. Abortion for some. None of the others. It's pretty clear that many Americans simply don't want to live under a Blue State President. But Blue State residents don't want to live under a Red State President either. Canada has a 2 state solution. One for French Canada, and another for English Canada. They are both part of one country yet are distinct and separate.

It's not so simple. There blues in red states and reds in blue states.
