Complaining itself doesn't do that, really.
That's actually a decent way to vent if someone needs to.
It's a mindset of grievance and indignation that causes stress and that's true whether or not someone's literally complaining. It's the brain cannibalizing itself to feed an insatiable appetite for drama and conflict.
