Damn, that's a long time to lose power.

I haven't experienced that here since the late 90s maybe early 2000s, that sucks.

It is when you're trying to find the candles you know you put somewhere for just such an emergency but can't find the motherfuckers as it gets darker and darker. LOL

A drawer in the kitchen or pantry with flashlights, batteries, matches is a good idea.

Oh yeah, I found everything. I eventually fired up an antique kerosene lamp I haven't lit in years. Being without power for an extended period really makes you realize how dependent we've all become to our electronic gizmos.

We run a couple of large capacity ah lithium batteries, solar, and a backup generator for the storm seasons... sometimes weeks with no power.
