It's still around and you can get an NNTP newsreader account for free.

The free ones don't offer access to the alt.binaries.* groups (file sharing and the like) but you can see the others, including the infamous alt.flame, alt.fan.karl-malden.nose, and alt.alien.vampire.flonk.flonk.flonk

This site has a lot of old Usenet poasts archived; you can Search by topic, author, etc.

As fuzzy as memory is I believe the answer is no. I know I lurked over that site many a time back then but no I don't think I ever made an account. Some of the ones that were and are detectives would have spotted or remembered me if I did have one.

Simple answer no before I bore to tears. You a cop? you seem to have a lot of questions for me.. but you just watch I can play bad cop. I smell fear thousands of miles away.. and yours is.. well I know your high right now so my spidey senses are a little off but if you weren't high your fear of me would be through the roof right now..
