So, isn't it great getting back to normal after a major weather event? I remember I was out of power for almost a whole day early last spring when we had a bit of a storm. It fucking sucked, let me tell you. I had to drive around in my car for an hour or so just to charge my fucking phone. And that was just for 12 hours or so. It must have really sucked over there in the 2nd World.

I have a friend here from Connecticut. They used to lose power for 10 days at a time. 1st world, you say?

Although, one time it got so cold here for so long that the water lines were frozen for almost a week. That was about ten years back. And it wasn't my water line, it was the actual water main. Luckily there was a lot of snow I could melt to flush the toilets and the Water Department provided us with bottled water for drinking and cooking because that's what you get in the 1st World.

I blame Canada, of course.
