Oh hell...that must have been fun.

I always say "I'm Catholic and I don't care to change my religion." Never works.

It's been awhile most recently...thank goodness.
I was tripping my brains out with a couple friends when they popped in to visit, We had beets in the oven. This was in the early 70's

we were discussing the illuminati when the beets came out and I opened my foil wrapped beet and was all "this is the sacred heart of Jesus" and took a big bite.

They ran out of the house.

I love getting Christians that want to debate me on "being saved". I'm not impressed by their concept of "grace". Don't do shit but say I'm saved...fuuuuuuuuuuuck that.

I dated one in High School (a Jehova's Witness) all she wanted to do was talk to me about the 4,000,000 or however many there were and fuck.

Well, as long as you got to have a good time...what's a little wackiness?

I was sort of involved with a guy for a couple of years off and on, who was HOT AF and extremely bright, but he was 7th Day Adventist...I just couldn't.

He was convinced the RCC was the anti-Christ...and wanted to talk about that way too much. What a pity!

I have a couple of JW's that have been stopping by for about 20 years now.

I talk with them and listen. They mean well.

The guy who seems to be the leader is "Ken". We talk about religion, but also about other things like hockey and baseball - he used to play both so we talk a little bit about "back in the old days".

His wife passed a few years ago.

Just because he thinks that I will not join him in the afterlife is no reason to not like the guy.

I have never played catch with him.

I mentioned playing catch with a guy on my baseball team named "Brad".

I do have a friend named "Ken" that I am going camping with in August. We are going to be using 4 camp sites. My wife and I on one, two of my sisters on another, Ken and his wife on one, and Ken's brother-in-law or sister-in-law on another.

Thank you for trying to live vicariously through me.

As a life-long atheist I can confirm that drawing *too* hard a line on such matters is a great way to find one's self with nobody to talk to anywhere ever.

I only get belligerent about my religious views when someone else crosses that line first.

Don't start none won't be none.

Far from yup!
None of us know and all of us will find out.

Oh. I beg to differ.

If lets say Garraty is correct and you just die. How do you find out? I liken death to a more peaceful sleep, without any kinds of dreams or brain activity. It's just darkness, you're not aware, you just are. Even then you're not able to say, okay, this is what death is like.

Now, lets say on the other hand that reincarnation does exist in more of a spiritual form. Lets say you get reincarnated as another male. Even then you're not going to know. It would be more of the universe just using life force to animate a biological entity.

So you see, without any kind of brain consciousness when we die, there's no way anyone knows or will know what awaits each and every one of us when we expire.

Penny for that thought....
...oh wait, no. Trump took away the pennies.

Now it's worthless..
Canaduh did that eons ago. Conservatives wonder why it costs more to make a penny than what the penny is worth. Libertarians wonder why the gov is taxing us all to death down to the penny. And liberals are worried they won't be able to pay their hired help im pennies. Oh my.

You should go protest forthwith. In heavy traffic if possible. For more "awareness".
