South Point is always on point with their late night menu. $4.99 steak and eggs with bread and potatoes is always a win.

I've stayed at South Point twice for a convention and its a pretty nice place. Kinda reminds me of the newer part of The Golden Nugget. Ate at that restaurant once and it was real decent. The biggest downfall with it is its so far away from everything you normally want to do on a vegas trip. For someone who wants to be away from all the people but still want a nice room, I'd highly recommend it. Personally, I like the strip. My favorites are still Bellagio and Caesars. On a budget? I'd pick Flamingo, the Luxor, or TI. Dont ever stay at the Linq. That motherfucker is the WORST!!!

Not great but for a $9.99 buffet why not load up on some beef brisket and some of the usual buffet fair?

The buffet scene in Vegas remains pretty dismal due to covid. On the strip there are only four Casino buffets open and none open for all three meals seven days a week. The only casino buffet in Vegas open full time for all meals on every day is the South Point which isn't even on the strip.

It is a shame that Station Casinos (owners of a half dozen off strip casinos as well as The Palms) has decided to permanently discontinue all of theor buffets. The Palms are even getting sold off because the company is so deep in the financial mess due to the covid shutdowns. All of their casinos were locals casinos which meant much better odds and rules than on the strip or even downtown, much better returns per play on the machines, and while their buffets were always budget buffets (The Palms was the exception which was a nice high end buffet which was actually very affordable priced to encourage people to stop by The Palms) they were fairly good and incredibly cheap.

We are talking $5.99 with a players club card for all you can eat. Nothing fancy but at cheaper than McDonald's do you really expect anything fancy? You'd see retirees, locals, and young parents with a whole herd of young crotch fruit filling up at these $5.99 per person buffets. Popcorn shrimp (previously frozen), clams & muscles (previously frozen), roast turkey (previously frozen), unnamed breaded fish fillets (previous frozen), meat loaf, fried chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, mashed potatoes, tons of gravy, chicken fried steak, mystery meat Chinese food. Pre-made soups and salads, etc... Were all on the menu. Did I mention the meals were priced cheaper than fast food?

Not a bad value considering it was all you could eat even if it is about the same quality as a microwave dinner.

They are taking away the free parking which casinos had brought back during covid.

I discovered vallet parking the last time I was there with my mom and step dad. I'll always pay to park now.

Brunch @ the Rio is pretty much the best one they have IMHO

I guess the closing hasn't happened yet because this is a video from a month ago. The place looks pretty damn empty though.

I have never been the Bally's weekend brunch. Part of that is because Bally's is so far down the strip and part of it is the $125 per person price tag. I hear the quality is extremely high but I wonder if even I can eat $125 worth of food to make it worth while. I already know my wife can't.

So that would be $250 for two and we still haven't fed the kids. I certainly wouldn't take kids to a place like that.

I won't go anywhere that has a check in or QR code mandate.... I'm just waiting out the suckers who are going to die from this shit..

...and the moment the school system makes mandates, she's out of it at lightening speed.

I thought it was just a joke but ???

That would be pretty fucking hysterical if it was one big gag by BF to get people to come out to Vegas and then not show up. Nothing booked, nothing planned, zip, zero.... nada.

I mean, hysterical for those of us who couldn't/wouldn't be there. Not for the ones who actually made there on their own dime.

Of course, if that happened and I was one of the people there I would be slightly pissed, then after I thought about it for a few moments I'd laugh maniacally, then go play black jack, pay 3 grand for a high end escort, smack her around a bit, get drunk in my hotel room afterwards, sleep it off and fly back home the next day, fuck it.

It's Vegas, it wouldn't be so bad.

Crab legs and mimosas was what I ate for brunch way back when. Damn, that was the best brunch near the strip.

I’m a 4 hour drive from there and my mama loves the strip. I used this as a last minute excuse to spend some time with her…. cause she LOVES to gamble and I love to lay by the pool.

For anyone who made it out ~ I have a cabana @ MGM… ask for Murdock at the front desk. My mama is with me, so you need to bring your manners. Thanks!

Great news! At least one station casino will be reopening its buffet on 9/8. It is the weakest and crappiest one but given that Station casinos had said they would never reopening its buffets this is progress. Locals have been boycotting station casinos saying they will not go to any of their casinos until the company brings back their casinos. After a year and a half of trying to wait the local boycott out they are now throwing in the towel and giving customers what they want.

Buffets are money losers for casino companies so naturally the companies don't want to offer them, however, customers really love buffets and will actively boycott casinos which do not offer them. Something station casinos has had to learn the hard way.

For the life of me, I cant see how the buffet at Paris loses money. I paid $60 or $70 to get in, the food was mediocre, and because of that, I didnt eat a whole lot. The only buffet worse than it was the one at the Imperial Palace. I've been told Belagio and Caesars buffets are great but I'm a bit gun shy when there's so many other places I can go and be assured a great meal.....like In-N-Out Burger.
