Bacchanal buffet how I miss you. This guy is a pleb though. Getting pizza and rice at a buffet? You should be loading up on the crab claws, crab legs, lobster, various roast meats, and other expensive stuff like exotic cheeses.

I have never gone to Bally's Sterling Brunch, I could never justify the $125 per person price even though it includes all you can drink alcohol (and supposedly pretty top shelf alcohol too), it is a small buffet, 1/4th the size of the giant buffets, but it has all the highlights/best items on any buffet. It is supposedly like the all stars of buffets with just the best of the best. Waygu beef, lobster, king crab, stone crab claws, rack of lamb, prime rib, etc... Still you have to drink a lot of French champagne, waygu beef, and shellfish to make the $125 price balance out in terms of value. The caviar did look nice though.

Most buffet sushi is cheap junk but I hear Bally's has top sushi chefs who do award winning sashimi and nagiri. That is very usual for a buffet in the US.

I keep coming back to The South Point because of the awesome rooms, the affordable prices, and the good food. They are seven miles from the strip but they have free shuttles to take you to the strip or downtown so it is not like you are missing out on anything. Plus an $18 buffet with crab and prime rib? Hell, if you do their weekend brunch they even give you bottomless mimosas. The fresh squeezed juices are also nice; the fruit goes in one end and out comes your freshly squeezed juice.

When you get tired of buffets and casinos then you head over to China Town.

The Rio is getting sold to Hilton and will now become some sort of Hilton themed casino and hotel. I am not sure how that will work out. The Rio is a block west of the strip and always had weird things like Star Trek conventions, Comic Book shows, early exports (as in video game tournaments), and pop culture stuff like that. I remember doing their Kiss (as in the rock band from the 1970's through 1990's) themed miniature golf course which was actually pretty cool for miniature golf, attending their Brazilian carnival themed parties in the late 1990's (a friend got kicked out for vomiting off the third floor indoor balcony onto casino patrons below, he ended up sleeping in the car), and in the late 90's to early 00's they had a pretty cheap but full featured all you can eat seafood and Brazilian steak house buffet which was pretty good quality. I will be sad to see it go.

The ultimate cheapo low roller Vegas experience had to be Sam's Town Las Vegas around 1997. It was where my friends and I stayed when we all turned 21, it was 5-6 miles off the strip and was (and still is) a run down locals casino in Vegas. The type of place where the rooms were dirt cheap (at the time $14.95 for a double queen which slept 5 if someone slept on the couch so it just cost $3 per person per night) and there were no resort fees, the RTP on slots was around 90%, card tables had $1 minimum bets, domestic beers were 2 for $1 or free if gambling, and the buffet was pretty bottom of the barrel but who could complain as the price was $3.99 with $1 off with players card. That is right slightly less than $3 got all you can eat.

It was the type of place that had a 70 lane bowling alley built in, everything was cheap and tacky but prices were rock bottom, you'd find UNLV students frequenting there in large numbers as well as off work hookers and 50 something losers who never made more than minimum wage their whole life. Still there was a kind of dirty end of the road who gives a fuck magic there with college kids fucking in the bathroom stalls (why not spend the $14.95 and get a room), hookers hitting up any male from age 16 to 85, and down to earth workers who knew they'd eventually do better but for now this was where they were at. Ahh, nostalgia.

I'm going to Vegas next month

recommend something cool.
Avoid the casears and mgm properties. Sure, walk through them and see the sights but go to the non corporate casinos to enjoy playing. Hell, visit the strip but don't stay there as everything is 2-3 times the prices if not more. They will have you paying $15 for a drink and $400 for a room. The OP actually has a lot of good advice for things to do.

For how to get the best bang for your buck check youtube for cheap eats and good deals in Vegas.

My wife and I have been to Vegas so many times, we have a bit of a routine. We always visit the National Jewelry Center on Dean Martin, the Hex Bar at Paris for people watching, the patio dining at Mon Ami, Gilleys at TI where we watch all the drunks line dance, usually a few exhibits at various on the strip joints, the art museum at Venetian, check out the Luxor, stop in at the Gold and Silver Pawn shop....even though its a dive. Did the Marvel Tour at TI..it was cool. I really want to go on the high roller and hang out in the cabin with the all you can drink bar...but not drink that much. We always try to make it downtown at least once. I like the downtown vibe for a change. I havent been to Hells Kitchen out in front of Caesars but want to next time. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant is a fantastic experience. I highly recommend taking your girlfriend there. Neither of you will forget it. One day I want to shoot some machine guns.

A couple of years ago, I took my mom and stepdad with us, rented an SUV, and we valet everywhere. It was fukin awesome. The nice thing about Caesars Augustus tower is that it has its own lobby. I'd get the car, pull around to that lobby and pick them up. Even when we just went across the street to Paris. I insisted on driving my parents everywhere cause they're getting a bit old and it made the entire trip way more enjoyable. VIP parking at night at the Luxor was only $40 and that was right by the entrance.

Buffet food really creeps me out. I have a hard time with it.

All I can think about is how many people fingered it.

I always wanted to do the helicopter ride over Grand Canyon. You can try the Venetian hotel and go on the Gondola ride if you never did something like that. I stay at the bellagio and they have the coolest fountain shows. Oh and I want to go to the Mob museum there lol

Stay away from the Paris Buffet. 2nd worst i've ever had.

Paris is ok for a room on the strip but all the food there is over priced plus if you gamble you will hardly get any freebies.
Agreed and if you’re a women you want to hit all their highly priced and awesome skin care shops. I can’t go in there again. Id be better off gambling.

I hear the Linq casino is aimed at a younger 20 to 30 something crowd but one of the perks is that they offer all the spa treatments and skin care stuff that the other casinos do but at much lower prices. Ladies seem to love discount price spa treatments.

That place is a shithole. You'll wait 10 minutes for a fukin elevator in the morning. Last time I stayed there was for SEMA 2008 and after 10 min. of waiting, I caught an elevator that was nearly full. It stopped at 4 more floors on the way down and on the 3rd floor down, it was soo fucking full, the doors opened and some dumb brown bastard said something that vaguely sounded like "one more!" as he squeezed on. As the door started to shut, his ass about got caught and all I could think was "we're all gonna get stuck on this overloaded motherfucker". Never again!

Imagine if they made the bearded lady at the circus do a striptease? Big Burt here would be out of a job
