The current t Planet Hollywood is the old Alladin and it is still being run by Ceasars which means it is a poor choice for a casino to gamble in (bad rules, high minimum bets, bad odds and payouts) but they do have the pleasure pit which is the usual gaming pit except all the dealers are scantily clad young girls who periodically do go go dancing on striper polls. So there is that.
Frankly, when it comes to gambling I avoid all Ceasars and MGM properties (and that is most of the strip), if you have to gamble on the strip then independents like the Mirage give you much better rules, odds, and payouts plus they are much more generous with the comps (like free buffet meals, free show tickets, free rooms, or at least free upgrades for a room you paid for). Cosmopolitan is also a decent independent casino on the strip but it is angled more towards the younger and more insecure guys trying to impress their girlfriends.
Near the strip I always end up gravitating towards Ellis Island for the loose slots, low limit table play, good rules, and cheapest eats in Vegas. Failing that downtown is where it is at for cheapest rooms, loose slots, and great meal deals. Fremont and O'shea's are always good and cheap.

Generally, the shittier and more bottom end the casino the better the rtp, the better the drink service (they want to keep you there so they are generous with the drinks), and they know most people avoid the old run down places so they have to offer scategory. They also have lower cost per play machines.
Casinos like Excalibur and Circus Circus fall into this catagory.
The guy in this video likes 1) Excalibur, 2) Wynn (best of the high end according to him), and 3) Venetian (again a high end place but he likes the drinks and game selection).

I've never gone to Vegas and it's not really a place I'm interested in visiting.
I'm not against going, but it would never be somewhere I would make an effort to visit.
But I hate gambling and casinos give me some pretty intense anxiety. The sounds....the lack of windows....the carpet.

I am not big on gambling either, I mostly do blackjack as it has a low burn rate (meaning I can play a while without burning through my whole budget), but Vegas is still fun for the eats (and some of the best eats are actually pretty cheap), the shows (free or discount tickets are easy to come by), and the other fun stuff (BF listed a bunch in the original post).
Heck, most of the last 20 years I'd go once a year and made it an art figuring out the best cheap hotel, the best cheap steak or ribs or ribeye special, where to get the strongest drinks for cheap, where to get the $0.99 shrimp cocktails, how to get into the best party pools free, where to get half price show tickets, etc... Hell, just sight seeing is fun in Vegas because there are so many free shows and attractions.

Just FYI rooms at Planet Hollywood are $204 per night, Cosmopolitan is $397 per might, Ceasars $369 per night. All of those are base fees with resort fee and tax to be added to it. Cosmo has the nicest suites with balconies, Ceasars is the largest rooms and the most luxury touches. I haven't stayed in PH since they moved into the old Alladin building but the building is from the 1980's so I don't expect much.
-Treasure Island (independent casino not owned by either Ceasars or MGM) $142 per night.
-Luxor (nice but at the end of strip) $156 per night.
- The Golden Nugget (downtown) $107 per night.
- MGM Grand $186 per night.
- Arya $174

- Mandalay Bay (bad location at end of strip but amazing giant jacuzzi tub in suite. Had my first 2 girls/1 guy there at age 21. Ahh, memories.) $191.

I would hate to think I might get a room that was the one where you had your 3-way. I wouldn't even touch the jacuzzi.

If I decide to go will be going from Sacramento,ca to Vegas by car ( 2017 SRT ) and will go down 5 to Bakersfield and then 15 to Vegas and have room for 2 if you need a ride,guys share the gas and girls free,well almost free and in fact will share a room with the same offer plus free booze for all females except for Jeannie who mite bite my junk off !

Another option is the apartment style hotels. These don't have casinos attached to them but you can get 1, 2, or 3 bedroom apartments very near the strip for under $100 per night and usually no resort fee. Pool Towers, The Jockey Club, and Marriot Grande Chateau. If you're going in a group than the Marriot Grande Chateau is my go to apartment style hotel. You can get a large 1800 sq foot apartment with three rooms and like five tvs, washer and dryer, full sized kitchen with all the devices you'd expect at home, a nice pool and hot tub, and a bunch of other stuff all for less than many hotels on the strip. Best of all three couples can each have their own room and when you split costs three ways it is very affordable.

Downtown is kind of more my style of Vegas these days. Much cheaper hotels, looser slots (rtp often 97% or 98% vs 81% on strip), better food deals (check out the food bargains at places like the Fremont Hotel, the Californian, or Golden Gate), and lots more comps because they're all independent. Oh, and free parking. Most strip hotels charge for parking even if you stay at theor hotel (Treasure Island is the big exception).
Golden Gate Hotel & Casino (on the Fremont street experience) $49 per night with no resort fee. They will probably comp your room if you gamble $100-$200 which is easy to do because theor machines are so loose you only lose $5 out of every $100 thus getting $95 back.

Stay away from Paris Slots. They suck. Black Jack at Caesars is bad. I've done well at the Wynn. The best video game I've ever played is video Black Jack at Belagio. I've won hundreds regularly. I've also done well at the bar near the front desk at Caesars with video Black Jack. Best Black Jack is at the dive joints. I won $75 at the ElCortez in a very short time and walked out.

The D on the Fremont Street Experience is only $56 per night for your choice of The King Deluxe room or two queen sized deluxe. The pool and hot tub looks decent (The Golden Nugget is better though) too plus they have free wifi and parking. They have free shuttle service between various company properties including one on the strip so no need to pay for taxis.
I notice the D also has a giant outdoor bar with go go dancers and bar tenders who juggle the liquor bottles.

Hell, if you kept playing at El Cortez they'd give you a free room or at least a free meal. The whole point to going to downtown places like El Cortez is for the old Vegas style comps and loose slots/good old style rules at table games. The corporate places are stingy and just don't pay out as often.
Downtown Vegas is still a little rough around the edges, it is common to get propositions by hookers, but it is walkable, it is fun, the food and drinks are cheap, and the pit bosses hand out free stuff regularly. Drink service is fast downtown while at the corporate place you usually will wait an hour before the drink lady comes around.
Two years ago I went to the Fremont Casino and they comped all of my food and drink for my wife and I, they gave us a free limo drive to the strip (free drinks in the limo) and they comped us one night with half off the second night). It is not like we gamble a lot either because I might spend $200 a day and my wife $300 but they still handed out the free comps like candy.
