The etymological root of the word is far more ancient then that, dear.Interesting chart considering the origin of the word Aryan. Aryan is what the Persians called themselves.

In the cosmology of the Indian subcontinent, the ancient Vedas describe the Arya Varta, the "Aryan Way" down which the white skinned Brahmins and their Gupta warriors descended into the lands. This most likely refers to the migrations across the Hindu Kush from central Asia into India proper of superior white skinned Indo-European speaking peoples.
