Atheism predates Christianity by half a millenium at least. Check out some of the Pre-Socratic philosophers of Ancient Greece.
Belief in some Jewish guy of old who could purportedly walk on water is what's trendy, not atheism.
Angels, spirits, demons, djinns, ghosts, cherubim, and other pre-MCU human superheroes and supervillains are all entities particularly attractive to the spiritually immature set, individuals who don't have the intellectual wherewithal to stomach reality as it is.
As much as it may pain me to admit it, you're part of the natural world, UncleFiLTHy. As am I. As is All That Is. Those who look to worlds beyond the natural one (the very definition of "supernatural") to justify their behaviours and absolve themselves of all moral accountability (whether it's "I did it for God" or "The Devil made me do it") are little better than children who, having broken a plate at dinner, seek to confirm that their daddy still loves them anyway.
Grow the fuck up, will you!
All this being said, you get half a point for spelling the word "atheist" properly.
