Before I was banned from VF...I tried to take on the Cunt Wranglers...but they were disbanded by then I think, maybe 5 years ago? It was all about how good they were for a time and this and that. What about world politics? I won’t even pretend to understand American politics, but it doesn’t need to dominate the board.

I'm happy to post about politics from any region. Unfortunately, most of the posters seem to be Americans, who tend to be ignorant about anything beyond their borders. This ignorance is why they call Bernie a communist. I live in a country that is actually socialist. I'm happy to talk about it any time.

I don’t even talk about Australian politics because it’s equally bloody boring. Now China and Russia...those are bastards we should be talking about. While everyone is carrying on with in-house squabbling, these cunts are planning to dominate the world! That’s a worry!

Well, there is a bigger lens through which to view politics. That is the Superpowers of the world jockeying for position. They are the US, the EU, China, and Russia a distant fourth. The UK seems to want to align with the US, this their exit from the EU. The US is losing, due to their insistence on stealing from working Americans and giving to the billionaire class. The country will not remain strong as a result. It's in a death spiral, and they have brought it on themselves. China has simply had to stand by and watch.

China never just stands by and watches, and Russia is itching for war. But there...this is the direction where politics should go. The members here at Bastard Factory are from all around the world. There are four main instigators (yourself and Holliday being the the prime) spamming leftardation. It’s a really boring direction that nobody but yourselves are interested in.

You shouldn't be bored by it. The righttardation exported by the US is ruining the world.

I know China doesn't just stand by, but the US has just handed them so much, they haven't had to do much at all.

Politics are not as much about superpowers fighting each other as they are about global corporations fighting against the rights of working people all over the globe. This is the war all of us should enlist in, and it starts with workers around the world being paid living wages. You must understand that living wages worldwide would stem migration, and would raise education levels, thus improving the lives of billions of people through innovation, etc. The global corporations are the world's superpowers, and they are hellbent on keeping everything for themselves and letting the peons starve.

All of my posts, and views have their origins in another realm altogether, the political views being a veneer across the face of it. I alluded to this, this morning, elsewhere by answering a charge that I had done a bad thing, by pointing out that what I had done was help someone up rather than holding a person down, as was a choice. Where politics is concerned, I see conservatism as it is practiced here in the US, to be the politics of selfishness, so of course I oppose it.

I'm certainly not the only one with such experience. You were at the Vapor board from the outset, and came to the YaBB forum within a few months of its genesis. While there may have been unpleasant aspects to both of them, the game to which I refer was played with a bit of civility and a few degrees of refinement.

While there may have been unpleasant aspects to both of them, the game to which I refer was played with a bit of civility and a few degrees of refinement.

With regard to YABB and LibiCons - Yes, even then I was opposed to the no-thinky aspect of the Libs vs Cons, but really that's just all in the nature of very primitive tribalism. Actually, I'm totally amused that there are a few here that imagine themselves ant-LibiCon (in practice), but gently scratch the surface of their argument and there find a rabid Con.
Again, regarding BadYahoo - regardless of disagreement, was there namecalling, and accusations of sexual perversity and child abuse etc that we find on these devolving post yahoo boards?
It isn't something I want to get used to, or allow to become the norm, so long as there are still ones of us who remember a better way.

Nor is the forum itself staffed properly to manage that kind of traffic. The only poster I see here who's adapted to the reality of this forum is @deport_liberals but it's an easier adaptation for him due to his own politics and his tendency to value the Troll above all else.

IMO, there are a bunch of CON snowflakes here who had politics relegated to the Sweatshop because they are ill informed and thus cannot formulate a cogent argument about politics, and it makes them feel inferior. Solution: Make a joke out of the whole enterprise so they can show off their skills as bottom feeders!

I'm more interested in getting along with them, and finding a pleasant groove for myself, than in calling them names on a wholesale basis. Holliday has found a style where he can just dismiss them all as "BadTards" without getting lynched, and I could do that too (or something similar) but to what end?
