Huuumh - looks like I forgot to finish that post above.
I did throw a 30 of 100 in darts last night though.

Anyway - back to the big res I was on yet another miserable weather day, but this with less wind
so the spinnerbaits were not as effective,
but, of course I had another rod with a swimbait tied on and that little beauty netted me 9 Smallies.
Along with the 3 on spinnerbaits I calculate that's roughly a dozen and I missed 2 that got off on jumps.

Appropriate to the season - Ghost Shad was the swimbait color.

Nothing huge but several nice hard fighters.

Maybe I'll go again on Election Day as I elected to vote early.

Not one for the big res.
and actually, at this time of year, any time after late Spring really
the water is so low that hauling a boat back up the steep shore to the wood line is too great a chore for all but a very few.

I shore fish, which I like doing.
In summer I wet wade the river.

Ahh - the weekend is here, pilgrims.
.Wednesday is looking like my next best chance to get over to the big res,
.then
.there is a stretch of days in the 60's all the way into my next break.
.Maybe even one more day wrangling Smallies.

What a celebration Wednesday will be

I know you've all been breathless today
wondering how my day of fishing went.

Well,
Was the big res hot?

You bet it was.
17 Smallies with a couple missed on jumps
and several others that just didn't hang for me.

About 2 to 1 swimbaits to spinnerbaits.
all that and I left about 3 PM.

Cried real tears upon hearing Trump's concession speach. (This only with a tear on the cheek)
