Well the ones here are LIDL which are basically the same with one German company copying the discount and retail model of the other and changing around the order of the letters and changing one of them.

They are often a rip off..... check out the volume of oil or water in their tuna cans (on the label)....and it's blue fin, not yellow fin..

Plus Aldi "specials" on their food is pretty mediocre.

Some things are okay though...

They've got some stuff that is reasonably priced, and they stock some items you can't get in other places.

Greece may be different than other countries.

In fact LIDL and ALDI are not the same company, I researched it to double check and changed my post but @Frood quoted it before I did that. Maybe LIDL is better in some respects who knows.

I occasionally go there, the prices are good, but the quality of food is definitely not great.... meat in particular. But like with anything, you get what you pay for.

I refuse to go to Marks and Spencers for my weekly shop like my ma does, the prices in there are outrageous.
