My parents took a stray cat in once when I was a kid, but it kept pissing down the heater vents. We had to put it back outside. The house stunk for months afterwards...

I rescued a kitten from an upcoming grisly end a few years ago and gave it to a freind.
He'd just been on holiday to Portugal and named the kitty Pingo Doce (Pron Dosh)
A supermaket chain there.
I thought it was a silly name at first but soon got used to it and it suited the loopy character.
He was a great cat but had an argument with a fast travelling van a few months ago.
We buried him on the beach.
You will be missed Dosher.
