Maybe the US schools should take out social studies history & religion out of the curriculum entirely and just offer these topics as electives. so if a parent want wants their child to learn religion that's their choice. or similarly if someone wants a woke left curriculum that's their choice too. so they could learn their own track online in their own time tailored to their needs without a parent thinking their child is being indoctrinated by the other side @Liberty1976 .

Then just concentrate on teaching skills like math reading writing/ literacy/grammar. Throw in trades training like carpentry & home economics so the students learn some valuable skills they can use later in life. Maybe even farming or gardening skills depending on where the students live

Anyway its clear that these social courses have opened up divisions among left and right in America so the courses should be choice only and not mandatory anymore.

Only if it's taught alongside the Koran, the Bhagavat Gita, and others. The US was founded on freedom of religion,, not Christianity.

It's actually not a bad idea.

I would include even more.

Matters of spirituality are a part of human history, whether you believe in existence
beyond the three-dimensional form and its limited range of perception or not.

Why not have lessons on the aspects of history that formed the many religious beliefs?

Ancient stone tablets, scriptures, scrolls and all are historical documents.

It would be an improvement. Imagine kids sitting around discussing religion while stoned
on weed.

I watch a variety. NBC, CNN & yes Fox. some Canadian channels like CBC & ctv. bbc from Britan. Sky News from Australia. Paki Sharma from India. even Russian News. it's good to watch a bunch of them, on the left, center or right @Liberty1976 even I don't agree with them.

Without taking sides its evident the US is very divided. Like it or not it is no longer 'one nation under God.' Its not going back to 1955 or even 1975. So perhaps the education system should adjust to that reality and accommodate students and parents rather than trying to teach 1 sided views of everything. ie history/social studies subjects.
