Ya think so , eh Dovey?
I heard one thing these animals may be attracted to is the makeup and the scent of a woman.
Cosmetics can be derived from animals.
Heard about other women being similarly bitten.
I'd get a cat myself.
A lot more cuddly & safer, eh.
It's not pitbulls that are the problem. It's people that are not responsible with animals.
It's so so rare for an animal like a dog or cat(even more rare for a cat) to suddenly "turn". My grandma's generation used to say things like that. Like the dog or cat suddenly "turned"....but it almost always because the animal wasnt fixed, wasnt being trained properly or if it was a cat it was being tormented. Et. Or if there is some crazy inbreeding.
Animals are not cruel or mean.....they are just animals. They arent like humans. Humans will do things to be cruel and sadistic. Animals do not. There is no such thing as a "bad" or evil animal. If they get aggresive and hurt someone or another animal.....there is a reason. A behavioral reason that probably could have been prevented.
I'm not shitting on animal owners who make mistakes or saying an aggresive act from an animal is no big deal. It's a huge deal. Some people get animals and they may think they got it covered and they dont. So I'm not saying every animal that gets aggresive has a dumb fuck irresponsible owner.
But when you have a dog that bites more times than not.....it is a dumb fuck owner. Like those fucking morons on YouTube who put their dog to sleep because it nipped their kid in the face. But what they dont tell you is how the kid was often up in the dogs face, tugging its ears, pulling on its jowls. Et.
This poor girl that took a bite to the face didnt share any of the circumstances. That's probably for a very good reason. The story is about her lip and if she went into what happened, people would probably be fighting over that or perhaps harrassing this person's cousin or criticizing her or whatever. They probably know a bad mistake was made and do not want to distract the viewers from the experience of the bite with the circumstances of the bite.
Maybe people who want bully breeds should have to take some classes.
And I'm getting a Shepard, dammit. We are gonna be getting a service dog for mom and she prefers that dog to be a Shepard.
Listen....its not make up. It's your genitals.
And if the animal isnt fixed it can have sexual aggresion(meaning its frustrated and lashing out). Any in tact animals are going to have problem behaviors.
Animals never ever just get mean for no reason. There is always a reason. They just are not like humans who hurt or get abusive for amusement. If an animal attackers there is a reason is all I'm saying. And the attack almost always could have been prevented.
Raven disliked my post and I'm gonna guess it's because she lives in Detroit. In Detroit....there is a problem with stray dogs. Dogs just roam and will attack people. Its crazy. That and there are poor and irresponsible dog owners that get bully breed pups but they dont train or fix them(lack of resources combined with some ignorance regarding dog care). So they will have unfixed bully breed males who are poorly trained. And since dogs are PACK animals....if that hierarchy isnt clearly established and they are in tact....the dog will try to assert itself the alpha.
That's why you dont feed them first and you do not let them sleep in the bed, et. Things we dont even think about can communicate to a dog that it can and should establish itself the alpha. It's not because it's a bad dog. This is perfectly natural behavior for dogs. But it makes them dangerous to humans.
And then these dogs often get loose and wander and maul neighborhood children. It's an actual PROBLEM down there. So her experience with the breed is probably this (if I'm wrong Raven and you are reading this please feel free to correct me....I know a few people down there who HATE pits and this is why).
What really sets pit bulls apart is their bite power. They no more or less aggresive then any other breed.....but if a put bull bites its gonna be BAD. All dog bites are bad....a pit bite is worse. And they get their whole body involved and they have a lot of brute strength.
I got bit by a boxer when I was a kid. I used to walk peoples dogs for money(we were poor...I was being raised on grandma's pension...I knew money was tight at a young age so I found ways to make my own recreation money), and as I walked a rather sweet dog(a collie named Bear)....a neighborhood boxer hopped right over the fence and attacked the dog I was walking. My hand and wrist were wound up tightly in the leash. Some neighbors saw what was happening and came rushing out to help me and once the dogs were separated (and the guy who came out first had the boxer and was screaming at the owner....the dog was problematic and the guy had had it), I noticed I had been bitten. I didnt even feel it until I saw it lol. It was like a hole in my wrist.
They couldnt find the vaccine papers so I had to have rabies shots and the dog was put down. I still have the scar but it's small now. It needed a few stitches. I was really upset the dog was put down, too. I totally felt like it was my fault and it died because of me. I was 11 years old so...it was really upsetting.
I still continued to walk Bear and other dogs in the neighborhood.
