Going out and buying a dog from a breeder is also every bit as sick, when millions of shelter dogs are put down every year. There are more Pits in shelters in the US than any other breed. Millions.

Nothing boils my blood more than animal cruelty except maybe beasts(Peados), you'd think in 2021 we'd have been past the need for animal testing ffs!!! The shelter thing is also heartbreaking, an animals suffering is... The thing with Pitts is difficult because there's no right answer on what to do about it...

The only thing to do about it is to crack down on dog fighting. Pits don't love to fight. They will do what they are told because they are loyal, and if their owners make them fight, then they do. If Pits aren't raised to fight, they don't.

See, thing is that all dogs can snap but when a pitt does it it's carnage to humans and death to other dogs as it's the way they're built what with the jaw locking etc... I think something along the lines of making it illegal to breed them so the breed dies out without actually putting any healthy pups down, it's not their fault they're built the way they are it's ours... =(

I currently don't own a pet, mostly due to Covid issues that happened just after I moved rural (breeder backlog, Canada/US border closure), but the eventual plan will be either a purebred German Shepherd or Golden Retriever. Sensible breeds. Not a Negro dog fashion statement!
