Well being a responsible dog owner is a must for people owning pit bulls. Understanding you have a very strong animal with a strong bite that NEEDS to be trained very well would probably lower the amount of times a pit bites someone.
It's just not a dog for everyone, you know? I loved my pit bull. But he started showing signs when I got pregnant....aggresion towards my husband....so I had to rehome him. His behavior was reigned in very well and he lived a long healthy life. He went to seasoned dog owners to a farm house.
I'm sure no one is arguing these dogs do not have a especailly powerful bite. It's just more so that the dogs themselves can be really good pets for the right people.
They're dangerous dovey and are not required IMO
Some dogs are def nicer 'n others, @SHAMPAIN.
I was goin for a walk yesterday eve, and let this dogowner on the path/sidewalk go by me, and suddenly her big dog started barking at me.
I'd prefer a cat fer a pet instead, eh?
I love the kittehs but i'm a dog person, preferably Beagles =)
