@The Countess ~

How are you watching secrets of playboy? I can’t seem to figure out how to get it on Hulu and my Apple TV is buried in a closet until the den is done.

De donde me da la gana.
I recommend watching it. We’ve all heard stories of how sick Hollywood folks are…this confirms a lot of what we heard. Bill Cosby is sick old dog who deserved to die in jail, Hefner is burning in hell as I type this.

If you’re easily triggered by rape, sodomy, beastiality and suicide, then don’t watch.
My cousin used to hang out at the mansion when she was acting in L.A. She reckoned Hefter farted a lot and the rest of the girls were skanky biatches.

One of my besties would submit headshots and got invited to the Halloween party. She fucked Ron Jeremy in the bathroom. She said he squeezed the tip of his cock when it was over… later found out it’s how he prevents VD.

I was like you let the perv raw dog?!?? *horrified*

Ron Jeremy- gross!

You mean in the Drug fueled World of Movies and Rock and Roll in the 60'sand 70's, White Men in America took advantage of young girls? I'm shocked!

What is sad here is that Hefner was played up as a success story by the media for many years.
Playboy was a mirror of the roaring 50' and 60's with America flush fat and happy the spoils of war succes and government spending, The Baby Boom happened with scads of GI College Grads moving out to the brand new Suburbs, Playboy, yes featured pictures of nude girls which we can look back in shame on now, (not to mention the horrors for women at the Mansion) but the 60's were a unique era, the likes of we may not see for a while, besides that it was a decent magazine hiring some of the best writers of its era, for it's essays and articles, and also its legendary Monthly Interview* series. Hugh got his start as an Ad writer, he was in a real sense Don Draper.

I see a man who loved women. I don’t think there is anything wrong with looking at beautiful naked women and a true feminist will argue that they were exploited. I see a business man who created opportunities for these women to earn.

We shall see how I feel when I’m done watching. I had to buy it on apple because we stream everything. I’m holding my phone like a crack head right now watching it lol

Neither of us watch much tv and the kids are too busy with homework and commitments for either of us to find it necessary to shell out $150+month. As it stands, I’m paying about $60 for HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney, and Peacock~which is free with my unlimited phone plan.

I can remember when I was a little girl and all you needed was an antenna on the roof of your house.

We just got rid of cable. Got the Sling TV blue package with a add on - 42.00 a month. It has all the channels I watched on cable. I was paying 220.00 per month for internet and cable for God knows how long when all along, I could have been paying much less.

I’m paying for those same subscriptions. HBO is included with my cell phone tho.

But Americans act as if the permissive society and pornography only began with the coming of Hugh Hefner. He merely capitalized on a medium (photographic porn) which had existed in Europe since the 19th century.

"Omigod! Such a stunning revelation! All them bad things which went on in the Playboy Mansion! Shades of Sodom n Gomorrah!"

And meanwhile the producers of this documentary and their advertisers make millions off it & old Hef....even when he's in the grave ffs!

Can't you see the irony?

First, fuck Hef, I hope he's very warm where he is...

Secondly, many Americans are reactionary. We have a lot of religious fundamentalists. We also have a very commercial society where sex is used to sell everything.

You're going to get a bunch of loony ideas from Americans.

I’m paying for those same subscriptions. HBO is included with my cell phone tho.

They also provide internet service?

No. I left the internet and cut off cable.

Got it, you kept your internet.

But Americans act as if the permissive society and pornography only began with the coming of Hugh Hefner. He merely capitalized on a medium (photographic porn) which had existed in Europe since the 19th century.

Liar @Joe is doing what he can to defend one of his heroes.

As far as Liar @Joe is concerned, Hefner's abuse of women is justified because he was only capitalizing on something that was "invented" by someone else.

Do not expect it to make sense. Liar @Joe fails at basic reasoning.

In which case Hef certainly wasn't the only one @The Prowler. What about Larry Flynt of Hustler Magazine? Or Bob Guccione of Penthouse? They had their porn empires & equivalent Playboy mansions.

Odd they're just targeting Hef.

They oughta be doing an expose on all of em Prowler.

Larry Flynn owns his scumbag status. Hefner didn’t.

You mean in the Drug fueled World of Movies and Rock and Roll in the 60'sand 70's, White Men in America took advantage of young girls? I'm shocked!

What is sad here is that Hefner was played up as a success story by the media for many years.

I think he was always a pig.

As for cable rates and live streaming costs. I have all of those too. Yeah, I miss the days of no cost for entertainment.

And you girls including @Dove possibly might realize that Hugh Hefner didn't invent porn, right?

It was around long efore he was born I suspect.

He jst ripped the idea off from the French.

I never said he did. Pornography has existed for eons.

That's irrelevant to who this man was.

Sex sells @Lily.

First, fuck Hef, I hope he's very warm where he is...

Secondly, many Americans are reactionary. We have a lot of religious fundamentalists. We also have a very commercial society where sex is used to sell everything.

You're going to get a bunch of loony ideas from Americans.

Yeah and what I discovered is many of these religious fundamentalists are extremely horny but severely repressed. They want it just as bad as everyone else.

And they push this good girl/bad girl narrative on women in the form of unreasonable and unrealistic abortion laws blaming them for unwanted pregnancies.

Religious Right like America s version of the Spanish Inquisition @Lily.

You are preaching to the choir.

I am well aware of the "thinking" behind my fellow Christian fundamentalist American. I had an acquaintance many moons back that told me that her God was powerful enough to literally create the world in 6 days and rest on the 7th.

Well, perhaps he was powerful enough, but I don't really think that's how he went about things at all...

I am forever turned off by religious fundamentalists to God. Their hatefulness, judgments, racism, sexism, homophobia, disrespect and general disregard for others is what turns me off to organized and disorganized religion.

I have to work hard at having faith in a God that is free of these human practices that humans project onto God.
