Today:
Received my Marmot Eclipe EvoDry rain jacket
It's a great fit for hiking - close to the body but not too tight under the arms or at waist.
Good if you are carrying a backpack because no extra material fighting the straps.
I got a couple of 4Monster waterproof light weight packs and Osprey Dry Packs
for the spring rain hiking - summer too.

Sizing:
Marmot Jackets all seem to run large - be aware of that.
4Monster packs are about 1/2 the claimed size - be aware of that there2.

Of course being prepared as I am
nothing but blue skies in the 10 day forecast.

..all-a-which reminds me of a song

PS: I did not pay the full price (250$) for the jacket.
Year end - 67$
One thing my ex did teach me - never pay full price.

Such a beautiful day, and got out into the wilds of Northern New Jersey - a favorite area.
.This year the beavers rebuilt the dam on the outlet stream of the ridge pond, a little down from the previous one.
. The water is higher than ever, the Swans are back, have 4 eggs.
. While scanning the water with the bins I spotted a Largemouth Bass, albeit a small one, and I see an area on the far shore that will be good access for fishing, at least this early in the year.
.Saw my first bear of the year in the marsh on the inlet side of the pond - always see them there in Spring.

Spring is certainly here.

No pics this time - maybe next.
If I fish the pond I will report on the fishing thread.
