What happens if Congress doesn’t approve of the Electoral College results?
ANSWER:
The presidency is decided in the House of Representatives with each state delegation getting one vote. The vice presidency is determined in the Senate.

Granted, traitors like the Squad might vote against in such an unlikely scenario, but certainly there are an equal number of Repukes that would support the Will of the People and vote Biden. That is - in such an unlikely scenario.

As far as restoring the fairness doctrine, I think you're nostalgic for a less partisan, simpler time and a playing field that's been plowed under since the Gingrich days. And as far as quashing free speech on social media, I think those platforms have been monetized to the gills and will probably find their own balance points on fairness as it affects their bottom line.

The corporate media declared war on Trump the first month he was in office on the very plausible grounds that he was a bullshitter and buffoon who, with Bannon's help, was out to break the federal government. So media bias didn't just start this year, when the campaign started.

1) I am possibly nostalgic but that does not change the basic point that the fairness doctrine would indeed restore much of the balance we are currently lacking.

2) Monopolies, and social media platforms fill every definition of monopolies, will not respond to competition as there is no real competition. It would be nice to create real competition but that would take decades and right now there simply are no competitive forces to any appreciable degree. Thus why regulating them to common carrier status is desirable.

3) Agreed, corporate media did do just that. Outrage sells where as nuanced, indepth actual journalism takes time to seep into the collective consciousness. Just all the more reason to reestablish the fairness doctrine so balance is enforced upon them. They are the primary drivers of polarization and political extremism today after all.
