Let's say we annex Canada. Are you going to uproot your whole life and move up there? People don't tear up the foundations of their lives and move hundreds or thousands of miles away Just Because They Suddenly Can.

No, Canada isn't the same as the US. And neither is Mexico and the US. However, Mexicans already come here in great numbers with or without proper status.

Once they are, in your hypothetical scenario, part of the US, more will come. Families will reunite. It's not the same. Think things through.

It's equally plausible that those who are already here will go home, once 'home' is no longer a corrupt shithole. Mexico is a beautiful, resource-rich country, every bit as much so as the U.S. Annex it, clean it up, and it'll be every bit as nice a place to live as anywhere in the U.S.
