Watching Better Call Saul for the first time

I do not get the hype. Mediocre. Slightly entertaining and addictive, but mediocre overall.

Last night I watched Odenkirk in Nobody and quite enjoyed it. Then again, I enjoyed the John Wick trilogy, too, so no surprise there. These high violence, copless, crime flicks are a blast.

Saul was a fun character in that one.

The thing with Better Call Saul is that it appears to be an origin story.

I don't want an origin story. I want the fully formed Saul Goodman, not Jimmy McGill.

I think the Jimmy McGill story informs the Saul Goodman character. I think that the character Charles McGill's love hate relationship with Jimmy McGill is phenomenally played out.

Nope. Never watched it, either. I will someday.

I have some faves:

Rubicon. Only lasted one season. Brilliant.

Patriot. Only 2 seasons on Prime. So. fucking. good.

Pissed that both these series were cancelled.

Some people do get all crazy...whatever, to each his own is the way to go for things in the arts. Actually for most things in life.

I, too, have never seen The Sopranos. Some day I will, I suppose.

The first two seasons were kind of slow and I stopped watching for a while. Then people started talking about how great season 6 is, so I binged seasons 3-5 and it does get better.

Chuck makes the show fascinating in my opinion.

I, too, have never seen The Sopranos. Some day I will, I suppose.

Six Feet Under was great. Lost was really good, but that ending sucked so much. Wow. Didn't see the others. I do love slow burn TV, though. It's the best creation since TV began, imo.

That's why I started watching it. The best part of BCS is the Jimmy & Chuck relationship, the sibling rivalry and family dynamic.

I watched BB. Now I am really uninterested in BCS.

The Cosby Show started off well, but the ending was very dark.
