They are dehydrated. I never tried smoked though. Sounds good.

See the texture, it all comes down to how long they smoke/cure/prepare them like these, notice the texture in the skin, the more shriveled the better

Oh I know .. , decent fodder, I've progressed to Jerky now and even now not so much. Gotta watch your nitrate intake with these

I once had Jack Link's beef jerky. Don't know if it's the best out there or not though. I'm not really a beef jerky connoisseur. lol

I ordered Jerky In A Box .. I'd recommend them since it's their specialty
