Going to a restaurant for dinner.

Probably going to get a Pesto Chicken Sandwich or a Pulled Pork Sandwich.

Probably going to have a bowl of soup with the sandwich. If I end up getting a sandwich. There is a possibility that I get something else.

When I say "sandwich" I am not talking about a regular sandwich on sliced bread.

The Pesto Chicken Sandwich comes on a ciabatta bun and the Pulled Pork Sandwich comes on a potato scallion bun. And there is all kinds of good stuff on the sandwiches like bacon, goat cheese, arugula, tomato, and fresh crispy coleslaw. You would have to taste it to believe how good it is.

Of course, I might get something else....

I will let you know what I chose later today.

Or maybe tomorrow.

Or the next day.

I ate at the same place as I was talking about in the messages above....

I was in the middle of ordering the Buffalo chicken sandwich when I remembered I already had it...so I went with the Pesto Chicken sandwich.

I ate after my gig there. We played from 6pm to about 9:20pm, with only a few short breaks. They booked us again for January 2025.

Leftover Indian food.

I am going to start with a fresh salad, though.

Then three Indian dishes that we had last night...I am not sure what they were all called, but one was a creamy coconut sauce with chicken....another was a darker curry with a lot of tomatoes and chicken...and one was a chick pea masala dish...plus, of course, Basmati rice....and various chutneys...and I will make fresh paratha....

I do not have a dinner menu yet.

Hoping I can convince my wife to make this Korean chicken and potato dish.

Sounds good. I like the Italian sausage and kale soup...I think it's Tuscan
That is one of my favorites too…. and the cannellini beans make it Tuscan.

My daughter makes her version with garbanzo beans, which I feel you lose the silkiness in the broth without the beans.

To each their own I guess lol

I used to hate garbanzo beans as a kid but I only had them from a can. They had a crumbly texture I didn't like and they tasted bad too.

But I've had them as an Indian dish...delicious!

You can boil the canned version in water and baking soda. Remove the shells and the texture is better.

Hmmm, fruit and cheese? I buy great cheeses I consider dessert at Trader Joe's...

I’m doing bruschetta, burrata, blackberry honey reduction, pear + apple slices for appetizer.

I need a pastry. I’m thinking a fruit tart? Or maybe a pie from Marie Calendars? We also have a German streusel shop close by.
