Where's all the meat? Do you kill it yourself or something?

Our freezers are full (we did a Costco trip just a week or two ago and got a lot of frozen meat) and we use a local butcher for fresh meat.
OK, I'll let you off that one I guess. Isn't Costco cheap though? That's what I heard

Look at my bill and do a price comparison with 2-4 other retails stores per item and let me know if I got a good deal.

It is not too late to bring everything back.

It is less expensive because you are buying bulk. I love cosco. I'd go every 3 months and spend between 800 to 1k....was stocked on most staple items and basics like flour and all that jazz.

So you are spending more at one trip....but you are saving money in the long run because you are spending less per ounce.

Did I say that right?

My last purchase? I just ordered face wash and scrub and I bought a bunch of squishy fuzzy pillows.

Now? My man does 70 percent of the cooking. It's wild. I'm just starting to really get used to it.

We do the vast majority of our grocery shopping from our bed. We place Kroger orders and go pick it up lol

We will hit up Nino Salvageos once a month. I just got him to get a Costco membership and we have not gone yet but we are gonna and it's gonna be lit :D

We have a local butcher we get most of our meat from.

He refuses Aldi. It's south of 16 mile and he says that's where all "the poors" are lol.

I don't go in Costco much. Otherwise I walk out with 500 bucks of jerky each trip.

My man makes the best beef jerky I've ever had. It's gone in like a week.

My daughter has a friend who begs for it lol.

I'm in the spring mood so tonight I'm making cashew pesto and lemon lavender cookies.

I refuse aldi too, I went in there once and all their labels were in German or something, I want to know what I'm buying! I've been online shopping too lately mainly because I hate driving. You're lucky having a man who cooks, jealous :/ keep him

Good thinking man.

I never got one because I thought I'd get a solar system

Last year I bought a small power station and a 100w solar panel for emergencies. I have a small vertical freezer that uses 90w, a small system like that can keep it running and provide some Internet and charge for electronics

But the damn thing stopped working, I sent it back, no parts, so I got a full refund

The genny costs 2/3 of the power station, and the rest of the money I'll use to assemble a small solar setup, since I already have the panel

For short periods of outage I'll use it to keep the Internet running and if something more serious happens, I'll use the genny

My portable generator is dual fuel (gasoline and propane).

One that runs on natural gas would be cool.

Use fuel stabilizer in your fuel cache, unless you have a regular turnover.....

yeah, I read about that

I'm going to get a couple 20-liter containers and keep them filled and just put them in the cars when they stay there for more than 2 months

But I also have to worry about all the ethanol they mix into the gas here, I'll have to use a bottle to let the full sit for a couple days and them remove the ethanol that goes to the bottom after it decanted

Don't store them in a vehicle for extended periods. Outside of the vehicle is okay. They need to vent between temperature fluctuations, especially at night. Otherwise the vapours build up and if the right circumstances present (electrical system spark or high heat.. et cetera) kaboom! Diesel is much more forgiving though.

Don't bother with E10 or whatever they call ethanol added petrol in Brasil. Buy the premium, treat it, cycle through it. First in; first out.

There simply isn't a way to get pure gasoline here. Unless you own a plane, then you can buy it

The premium stuff here has 25% ethanol. Not to mention A LOT of stations add water to their fuel, some do it more than others, so you have to always be cautious.

My guess is that I'll get the stabilizer and do the decanting with a couple liters and keep it ready for when I need it.

And the rest of fuel (including the ethanol I remove) goes into the cars

There's a number of uses for ethanol, anyway....
