I'm not siding with the woman. She was goddam foolish ta pull a gun on a police officer.
The police would shoot and kill anyone who pulled a gun on them in Canada too.
They're no different here. However, it's much less likely that civilians would do that in Canada because fewer people own guns and have legal gun permits. Plus they can't carry them inside the car like that. They have to be stored in a case in their car trunk. I don't believe that people in Canada are allowed to carry handguns in public unless they're police officers.

I'm jes' amazed at the ferocity and violence of that incident - plus how it all got captued on video like that.

She was illegally carrying a stolen gun, she was a convicted felon so it was already illegal for her to possess a gun, like most criminals she simply ignored the law. I fail to see how passing still more laws would prevent criminals who already ignore the law to suddenly start obeying the law. I do see how more laws would harm honest law abiding people though.

Maybe she wanted ta go down in a Hail of Bullets, eh?

Otherwise, an arrest woulda certainly meant a lengthy prison term which she might not see the light of day.

Perhaps her only regret might've been that she didn't take the police officer down with her.

I learned years ago that you dont do anything to arouse suspicion. I never wear my seatbelt and when I see a cop, I never lurch around trying to grab it. They dont even notice. Cop sees movement in the car, he knows whats up.
