Kyndal McVey filed a lawsuit against Alexander Feaster for $75,000 in medical expenses, mental, physical pain and suffering after shooting her on June 28,

McVey, 26, was at a house party across the street from Feaster’s home when someone dared her to yank down one of his two Nazi flags, police said.
As she ran back to the party with the flag, Feaster shot at her with his AR-15 rifle, striking her several times in the lower abdomen and legs.

McVey was hospitalized for several weeks but survived.
Feaster, 44, was charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon. He’s been released on $75,000 bail and has a court appearance in March.

We live in a diverse, supposedly free country.

People really need to learn to leave other people alone.

Now shes severely injured. Could have died. For what? It was a stupid decision.

You dont run up on someone's house like that. You dont know that person, no clue what they are capable of, and you have no right to be there.

No matter what happens, whether he goes to prison or she wins the lawsuit, this entire situation was completely avoidable had people just minded their own business.

I would say the same thing in the case of it being an LGBTQ pride flag in a fundie Christian neighborhood.

People are becoming entitled, controlling and ironically nazi-ish.

If people had ignored this, he likely would have eventually took them down.

It isnt illegal here to fly offensive flags. All he did was butthurt people who could have chosen to simply ignore it.

I'm not saying it's fine that he shot her, but she wouldnt have almost died if she stayed the hell away from a strangers property. Shes likely going to suffer injuries for the rest of her life, all because she felt the need to go fuck with some random person.

Sure it sucks he chose to fly something like that but our liberties are far more important then anyones feelings. And....its plain stupid to harrass and provoke a stranger in his home. Nothing good EVER comes from doing things like that.

Burning down the house would not "serve" anyone. You just put the neighbors at risk and in a dangerous situation. How is endangering the community going to help? That would make everything worse. Destroying communities and housing, possibly catching the neighbors homes on fire, or possibly seriously injuring or killing someone is really NOT the answer.

Harassing people is not the way to make any positive changes. You cant force people to do anything. This shit just escalates violence.

I was always taught if you cannot help, do not do harm. And this did harm.
