The closest I've ever been to Las Vegas is Davis-Monthan AFB and I kinda like it that way.
I'm not a gambler, I'm allergic to crowds, I despise commercialism, and the twat you're visiting there isn't exactly a contender for making my XMas card list.
Maybe some other time.

There are some nice State parks around Las Vegas.
And the Hoover Dam.
And I am sure the people-watching would be pretty wicked at the casinos....
Not that I have been there....we had a trip planned in 2020 from flights to accommodations to tickets to a few shows to a Mustang convertible car rental....Las Vegas to Grand Canon to Arizona back to Las Vegas...about a 2 week trip....
It was one of the trips we were going to do while we did not have a pet....along with some overseas trips....
Then the Covid shutdown hit.
Then we fostered a dog. Then we adapted that dog. Now we are rarely doing trips without our dog. Las Vegas will have to wait.

With currency exchange factored in that's a lotta money to pay for a destination which in many ways is a lot like Canada. it wouldn't feel like I was going anywhere special. Then with Trump in the WH there are more border issues now.
I dunno Prowler. Maybe go to some place different and more interesting like Vietnam Thailand or Europe. Or how about South America to visit the Inca ruins? it's just that I've been to the States many times. Heck even going to Quebec seems more foreign & frankly more interesting than going to the USA.
