Getting my weight under 220 is the goal next year.
Been there. I was pushing 240 and showing it in extra neck rolls, side handles and a protruding belly. I applied for health insurance through the Greek system but was denied because of my blood tests. Marginally high sugar almost pre-diabetes levels, cholesterol high 200's, triglycerides in the red.
Reality hit me. I cut out all the alcohol and most of the sweet stuff mainly ice cream, and exercised about 5 days per week for an hour. The wife cooked only healthy stuff based on the Mediterranean diet.
My weight dropped to 186 and my cholesterol went from high 200s to 187, all my blood levels normalized.
If I can do it so can you. But you don't want to do it after you have a heart attack.
