Accent I will give you that but the UK has over 50 accents the tone though is deep, Baritone even though I'm tone deaf.
I've met dozens of people with a near equivalent to your voice. You're right though... accents vary.... but not to a huge degree.

I gotta agree with cookie there are huge differences in accents from, Bristol, Devon, London, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool to Manchester I can pretty much tell where all these people come from within about 20seconds of talking with them.
The same can be said of NYC and various states and locales in the US, Canada, Australia, et cetera...

That may be true but the difference in accent between someone from Cornwall and someone from Middlesboro can certainly be described as different by a huge degree.

I'm American by birth and moved around a lot in my youth. I can pick out a Georgia accent from an East Texas one... but it's still English. You could say that I'm desensitized to accents these days I just tune in if it's English..accents barely register unless they're Glaswegian, and only momentarily. (Because I have to get a universal translator out)...Then all Americans have the same accent by that logic..(I know you are Aussie, just using them as example)

I think ive tuned all of them out unless its a "whiney" Aussie accent or Texas or Geordie but It only lasts a moment.

My scouse accent isn't very broad, due to moving around a lot and living in other areas. It's basically a cross between a Mancunian and a scouse accent, which are fairly similar anyway.
It's no worse than tbc, you just can't stand that you get no attention here
