Why did it take you so long to get the vaccine?

Because I was in the midst of trying to decide if I was staying in Seattle or going back to Santa Monica. I was alone and working remote since March 2020, so it didn’t really matter. I also wanted to wait to see what happened when they started giving it to the masses.

Now that I’m back home… people here are assholes. It’s crowded no matter where you go. I can’t walk down the street with my dog without some mouth breather crawling up my ass and/or crowding the sidewalk. I can’t go to the market to pick up last minute things for dinner without some jackass bumping into me. They don’t enforce the mask mandate anywhere. There is literally no consideration for social distancing anymore and that was the game changer.

I guess I did it because I don’t trust anyone else to be safe is all it comes down to really.

My girlfriend in Washington who had covid got the vaccine because she was afraid of catching it twice and being out of PTO. She got really sick after the first round and then she was down for 4 days after the second.
