Pelosi has been excommunicated!

I actually agree that religious institutions should be taxed. It's the principle of the thing. Of course, Democrats don't have any such principles, so they just see taxing churches as yet another way to steal money to pay other Democrats to do do-nothing government jobs, but on principle I believe churches should pay the same taxes as the rest of us.

So if I get my income taxed already it has to be taxed AGAIN if I donate it to a church?
You are getting closer to understanding how the economy works, you understand that a business gets taxed by government , yes? I give my post taxed dollars to Pancakes House to buy Pancakes to eat, which they in turn are taxed on, are you getting the pickshure?
Pancakes house buys eggs, and flour and bacon and ham, and orange juice, all those people get taxed for the income they get from pancakes house.

Are they feeding people for free, Admin?

Are they buying those products with money (that was already taxed) that was freely given by people who want to help feed people? Are the products themselves not taxed? Were taxes not paid just from buying them?

The church is not a business. It's an organization that does charity. Its more comparable to a club than a business. It's not taxed because it's not a business.

When you give your money to a church so it can go towards the upkeep and functioning of your church and fund your outreaches and help members who fall on hard times.....that's not buying pancakes from another business.

And BTW....I already oppose the amount of taxes we have shoved on us. The government does not use it all properly. They overspend and waste. Often on shit NONE of us agree with.
The Church is selling you eternal salvation, you young boy looking person.

Pancakes house would not pay any revenue tax on stuff they gave away, it would help if you paid more attention in class, dimbulb.

Are you guys thinking that every church is just like the fucking Copeland cult empire?

Is this some assumption that all the churches are megachurches? Like Joel Osteen?

Because that is definately not reality

So you can decide that, and then claim they are "selling eternal salvation" (even though every single person is donating because they want to keep the church running, to be able to make sure members have a safety net and to run outreaches that serve the fucking homeless, help trafficking victims and drug addicts) and *poof* it's a business now! Sorry kids. We can afford beds for you so try to hang out in the car and not freeze too death or die until we have room.

Why dont you try to put your anti Christian biases aside go find out exactly what your local churches do and ask yourselves if you really want to make that harder and take more resources away from that.

You know for people who are always talking about how heartless other people are because we dont want communism....its pretty stunning youd want to take away from the most vulnerable people in society.

And probably do NOTHING to replace that. At what point are human beings more important than silly biases?

Am I calling YOU names? Me and Gurk clearly dont agree on everything and you dont see us ever name calling eachother.

You realize everything people freely and voluntarily GIVE to the church, is used to help members and the community for free?

You are not "owning cons" with this. You would just bed taking food and shelter away from babies. And old people. And people who NEED food banks to supplement the crumbs the gov tossed them from all the taxes they already yeet from the people.

We dont need to give scum bags who already fuck off more of our money than they should MORE of it. And make vulnerable people suffer more in the process.

Really guys?

This clergyman cannot withhold communion to Nancy Pelosi because of the follow point in canon law.

Administration of Holy Communion
The general rule of canon law is that "sacred ministers cannot deny the sacraments to those who seek them at appropriate times, are properly disposed, and are not prohibited by law from receiving them";
Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!
and "any baptized person not prohibited by law can and must be admitted to holy communion".

Canon 915 not only permits the ministers to deny Holy Communion to certain classes of people, but actually obliges them to deny it to those classes of people.

Nancy Pelosi has not been excommunicated. She hasn't sinned.

So instead of a meal for someone living in their car I have to let the stupid government waste it?

It's the principle of the thing, dear, like my position on the medical procedure of abortion. On principle, there is no reason that religious institutions are not taxed as any other corporate entity. The reason they are not is steeped in ancient tradition and age-old power politics.

People like Admin just want to shit on churches and steal their money. There is no principle involved in his advocacy of taxing churches beyond petty political point gathering.

So, let not you heart be troubled.

It's not a corporate entity. How do you figure it's a corporate entity?

My church isnt even close to a corporate entity. And if my old church gets taxed well that's just fucking over women and children.

Technically, yes your church is a corporate entity. They take in revenues, they own property, they employ staff. Your church may not be the Roman Catholic Church with billions of dollars in revenues and further billions of the dollars of property, but the the principle of the thing is the same.

Of course, if the churches were taxed, your personal donations would no longer be tax deductible ... again, it's the principle of the thing, but the State would realize so much revenue that they might be able to tax the rest of us a bit lighter.

(That last bit was a joke. That would never happen even if they start taxing the churches.)

Welp we will just go ahead and shut down several thousand outreaches. Then people can die under bridges, get sold into trafficking or whatever happens to them.

Good thing I was able to get help for myself before America became communist.

We can just send how much money gets bled out of the church to Ukraine or start tax payer funded abortions in womens prisons for after they get raped by "trans women".

Lily was never hooked on drugs with a child and in desperate need of help. She was never trafficked. She never needed to escape domestic violence. Her drug dealer father never pimped her to other men. She cannot begin to empathize with anyone who would be impacted by this.

And she spits on people who have been anyway. So I'm really not surprised by her.

Leftists want insane taxes on everything. Eventually they'll have a homeless tax and just take swill from bums who sleep on the ground.

So she wants to tax the church. Sees violent riots as an acceptable form of protest. And actually said we should just give people all the drugs they want so they can hurry up and die.

Well, according to our Leftist friends, those outreaches of your church would no longer be needed because the government would take care of everything and everybody.

Right Proggies?

big talk for someone that get's a bigger tax return than the taxes they'd had withheld.

You have no idea what we get in returns and you have LESS idea of what we do with it.

You should be forced to be the one tell people there is nothing for them. Better people than you would be the ones dealing with that and really all those desperate phone calls should be directed to those of you who would support this.

One you don't know my story nor are you, or anyone, owed a story.

However, my father was never a drug dealer.

I spit on you. I don't spit on everyone.

Get that story straight.

OK. I'm trying to find the sequitur in your non there, but I can't. Does this have something to do with that church summer camp you went to?

Who was it, your cousin, uncle or grandpa?

You know Admin when you laugh at my comments, mostly I just feel sick. It genuinely sickens me the shit you laugh at.

I dont see you as a smart or compassion person. I see you as a pampered and priviledged brat who really has no clue about more than half the shit you provide sentence fragments on.

I have NO idea how a conversation about taxing the church became about your hatred of Trump supporters.....but I'm way more likely to side with people who do not want the government to take away MORE from the citizens and who do not want to destroy all the hard work and resources BETTER people invest in helping other people. I think that's monsterous, hateful, selfish and tyrannical.

You guys must be immune and numb to stepping over bodies and human shit on the sidewalk. I guess when you only see the world through a fucking politcal paradigm you tend to become sociopathic.

And Admin I dont give a single fuck if I lost ALL my "tax benefits". I dont want struggling mothers to have to chose between going to work (gas) and feeding their kids. That's reality for people right now. Also it makes plenty of sense that returns would be lower if we are paying less taxes out of our checks. Dont try to tell me democrat policies are better for the working class because "tax benefits". I'd rather NOT see people struggling so hard that they are barely hanging on until their damn tax benefits.

Yeah let's use tax funds to send 40 billion to other countries, put fucking tampons in boys bathrooms and then go rip food and shelter from the down trodden people that go to the church. But hey....you'll get an extra 1k at tax return time.

We were doing MUCH better under Trump than we did under Obama and under Biden.

Well, according to our Leftist friends, those outreaches of your church would no longer be needed because the government would take care of everything and everybody.

Right Proggies?

Just how stupid are you? Are you not aware of all the children violated by some of the largest religious institutions in this country and in the world?

Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Baptists, etc...

I notice you only mention christian regions sects. Don't you wonder what they get up to in mosques and Hindu temples and whatnot, or do they get a BIPOC exemption?

I live in the US, Christian sects far outnumber Hindu or Muslim sects in this country. The others don't automatically come to mind. However, now that you brought them up, I believe in the case of Muslims at the very least, the crimes against children are probably equal to or more likely worse than those perpetrated by Christians.

I agree with most of what you said. They should be taxed, especially since they get involved in policy.

The Catholic Church was against abortion pre Roe vs Wade.... finally doing something about Canon breakers isn't political...

“He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”
Hi there Mr Whataboutisms!!!
It's not a whataboutism if it's the hypocrite involved, you numbskull. Do you have a Bible Verse showing Arch Bishops are supposed act in a life endangering manner?

In Italy the child molestation is epic. Remnants of the Romans using children as sex slaves. I read an article about why the Vatican was so slow to respond and so eager to cover it up years ago. They considered sex with alter servers as sort of normal behavior...like why are people so angry, it's no big deal.

Archbishop Pell from Australia believe the child victims were sent from the Devil to destroy the church by tempt the saintly priests... "The Devil made them doing it,"

Will they excommunicate couples who practice birth control because I believe they are against that too.

Birth control is allowed in the church last I heard.

I was raised RC and attended various RC schools. It was never an issue.
