Here's the thing peeps. Why does Politics need to be heavily moderated? I mean in essence what you guys are saying is that you cannot be trusted to act like adults. Mods have better things to do than get in the middle of your silly arguments that then go downhill into just mudslinging. I repeat, the mods have better things to do than babysit a handful of serial complainers.

I'm all for a Politics forum. I think that the discourse on this subject can be a good thing, if used properly. What I do not like is the fact that adults cannot find a medium ground when debating.

Now, this goes out to those posters like Alticus and such that think the mods have nothing better to do than play nursemaid to a few select posters. Additionally, posters like Alticus who's main inflection point is bringing up mod duties and complaining, make myself not even want to deal with Politics. You guys also have a responsibility here as you are part of the community to police yourselves when it comes to posting. Stop blaming the mods and other poster's for your actions and take some self responsibility.

Until you clowns are able to get past your own opinions and rivalries, Politics will not work because of a few bad apples. Ultimately, it's really up to the community whether Politics is brought back.

The part I'm struggling with is the nastiness that comes along with "taking their anxiety over what they see going around them but are impotent to control, for a walk". See someone else's anxiety shouldn't become another's problem with people that express their anxiety by calling a person a "cunt", a "nigger", so on and so forth.

They weaponize their anxiety and thinking ends when it becomes a free for all. How do I benefit from pernicious political discussions? How does anyone?
