We have a friend here who does a big Thanksgiving dinner. We didn't go. I felt liberated. We met some other friends in a restaurant, and the whole time I was thinking, "I am so glad I am not doing Thanksgiving." I had Portuguese class yeterday morning. I was the nly American in there. Everyne was like, "Oh, isn't today an American holiday?" They were all telling me Happy Thanksgiving? and I was like, "Oh, thanks. I'm just glad I'm not in the US."
Lok, I am sorry. I know everyone else in the world thinks I'm an ass, but every single time we sat down to Thanksgiving dinner, I thought, "What about the billions of people in the world who have food insecurity and aren't eating anything today?" I know it's stupid, but I fel that way about the holiday from the time I was a little girl.
LOL cool story Lotus. I made hasselback squash with ginger, garlic and ACV along with butter in the slices of squash. We went to a lovely dinner at a good friends house who we like a lot. Quiet, peaceful lots of wine and food.
