It began as just spreading the anti-science sentiment to medical science as well, but quickly appeared to also abandon empathy, or at least favour empathy towards money/economy more than towards people.All of this is a mix of things family has said. I did not expect the medical science denial, but in hindsight it is expected since science in general was/is denied. I certainly did not expect the hostility to reach empathy; this is the hostility that bothers me the most. I'd love to go back to the vast majority at least pretending to value empathy.Fortunately, most people do not even appear malevolent like the bottom, and many of those who appear malevolent because of saying things like the bottom are not generally malevolent. Most seem to just not care or severely distrust doctors/scientists, which is a different problem. Only the lack of empathy and intentionally spreading known falsehoods for personal gain is evil. I have been told I don't really care, saying if I really did, then I would want extreme enforced lockdown and isolation for high risk people and even more discouragement of other people isolating. That shows a big difference in one of the starting assumptions/ideas for morals. That individual wanted to limit individuals only to protect the same people being limited. I want limitations to never take place unless they are primarily to protect others who did/do not consent to the risk. I justify my assumption by reasoning that if something only risks oneself, then it is likely not a societal issue. They justify their assumption by reasoning that it is limitation only for personal gain and therefore less restrictive.I wish for no harm, and for more cooperation within society to protect the rest of society and the things which society must depend on. That person does not seem to wish for harm, but seems to view encouragement or requirement to abstain from something for the benefit of others as a significant harm. They are at least consistent, but most do not seem to be. Some are bothered when I explain (after being asked about it as if it is absurd) that I do or don't do something because of the risk to others, but otherwise claim kindness. Inconsistencies bother me more than disagreeing; there appears to be no reasoning behind the ideas, or worse, reasoning is not presented truthfully, as if the true reasoning is twisted with sinister goals or corruption.
