I grew up close to rivers and lakes, but I never liked fishing much

I had several friends that did it a lot

But I never had the patience for it

I liked going into the woods

We used to walk thru the trails and build hideouts

It was more about hanging out getting stoned, relaxing in a bed chair and having BBQs, getting a bit of excitement was just the garnish

Until before the pandemic, going to a lake and just spend the afternoon smoking weed on top of an inflatable mattress was a normal day LOL

That lake there was a 10 min drive from home

This is a river, it was literally 5 minutes on foot from my home

I mean, my childhood home

I loved Brazoo

When I took that photo, the river was less than 10% of the normal volume of water

But you could easily walk inside and we went upriver 3 or 4 miles

That day was fucking awesome

It was 2015 and out of the blue I met a few friends and we just decided we had to go LOL
