A lot of countries have managed to make drugs a much smaller problem than it is in the US. And they are a lot poorer too. Maybe it's the fact that they shot drug dealers dead, like Indonesia
It would naturally follow that if you shoot the drug dealers dead then the drugs will be less of a problem as there will be less dealers to distribute them.

It's no secret that cocaine and crack are a lot more profitable than weed. A pothead can smoke the whole month with less than 50 dollars here, which is the same amount they spend of cocaine on one day
