@Ivor Nissan they had one of those pseudocommunists in power, Alberto Fernandez. He went down the same path that always brings destruction to a country's economy. More taxes, more government spending, tons of regulations, printed money like it was toilet paper. Then covid came, he spent even more, paid shitload of covid money to people, rampant fraud. Then, he interfered in prices, trying to "freeze" inflation, which lead to black and parallel markets. In the end, Argentina had inflation of more than 1000% a year
