I bought 12 x 20 litre plastic jugs of long life fertilizer concentrate... I'll use a few but the expectation is eventual barter good.

SLA, AGM are cheaper and less likely to burn your house down. Ex electric forklift batteries are super heavy and have lost a lot of their rebound ability to keep and hold a charge, but are pretty cheap, so doubling or tripling up on them in sunny climate means you always have juice. Sodium ion are meant to be the bees knees but have only recently started to get rolled out.

If you want aircon for a small room for some hours of the day, get a Zerobreeze Portable AC camping unit, and two lithium battery packs. Each pack will power for approximately 5 hours, the unit can be run off mains power directly. The batteries recharge (draw) on mains power at just under 600 watts. So you'll need 700-800 watts of mains power to recharge or use the optional 24/12 volt adaptor, but that takes much longer to recharge the batteries. If you have a diesel generator or petrol, easy done though. Just add fuel preservative to your stock, rotate it, and keep the tank/s out of direct sunlight which degrades fuel quickly even with stabilizer.
