chaos took over, u cant just fix it. it happened slowly

SG and CBT and some other forum came here at the same time.
These people knew each other and it changed the dynamic here some.
Ive recently stopped the fighting all over the board and Political hate, so I think we're in an uptick.

Not trying to be contrarian or stir up any shit but I wasn't around when the forum was established or when Meltdown was added, however it came to be.
Was/is it supposed to be some kind of "flame/troll" board?
Why? I mean, why was another sub needed just for that?
Functionally you now have two 'general' subs: Lurker's Lounge, and Meltdown.
Is there still a need for the split?
What is the primary difference between the two subs other than what's allowed/disallowed to be posted in them?
Is that division necessary or an artifact of conditions that have changed?
I'm just trying to understand the board dynamics and how they got that way is all.

Good question... Fighting kills message boards. A few alphas will survive it and boards die.
