My guest posts still haven't come through Lol

And they probably won't. 90% of the Guest posts there are from regulars like Chum Li or Fashionista. They'll enable Guest posting for themselves in the control panel, post their BS as Guest, and then close Guest posting again.

They actively monitor IP addresses of Guests that are browsing the board (not even posting, just browsing), and ban IP addresses that they don't recognize. To do this is an extremely time consuming process. For instance, I have hundreds of proxy IP addresses that I can cycle through, and they'll manually ban them because they don't recognize them as an IP address from a regular. There is no way for them to tell who is behind any given proxy, but they'll ban that address anyhow.

It's actually a sign of mental illness for them to do that, seeing as how time consuming it is for them, but they'll sit there in the background and do just that. I'll do just that just to toy with them every now and then. It drives them crazy.

They may as well just close down the Guest board, since Guests can't actually post there. They just keep it open so they can abuse the mod panel.

It isn't. But maliciously editing the posts of others is.

When I mentioned they manually ban IP addresses that they aren't familiar with that are just browsing the forum, that is a sign of mental illness at work, since it's an impossible task that no forum Administrator would ever waste their time doing. I've run forums. You either range ban certain countries or ranges, or use something like Spamhaus. Even that doesn't always work.

Imagine sitting for hours manually banning ever changing proxy IP addresses one by one. It doesn't work.

Yup. Imagine sitting behind the panel 24/7 like the head chank or kieblers, doing nothing but monitoring for IP addresses browsing the board that aren't from the regulars and banning them... On a Guest board of all places. That alone is borderline retarded to anyone that's familiar with running a forum. That's their life though. And if people are browsing through a cell phone, that IP address will regularly change anyhow.

But then again, that forum is certainly filled with borderline retarded regulars, especially the yellow ones!

@LotusBud Portugal is not a good example. You might get the sensation that Portugal is diverse, but it isn't. Less than 10% are immigrants and most of those are whites, coming from places like Eastern Europe. Portugal has a small population, but they're still the crushing majority. Also, Portugal has a gigantic diaspora, some say there are more Portuguese living abroad than in Portugal itself. These people send a lot of money home, which helps the economy a lot. Many Portuguese living in Luxembourg, a very rich country, for example.

And this diaspora comes EXACTLY from the fact that Portugal went socialist in the past and they were broke, like it happens when they're trying to fix things by simply throwing other people's money at it. I worked with many Portuguese in the US and heard the story many times. After Salazar and all the problems with Africa's colonies, Portugal decided to live the socialist utopia, trying to erase the years of dictatorship, but they soon found out that there's no such thing.

And according to some, Portugal's economy is already starting to show some problems that need fixing soon.

See, that's the problem, instead of fixing things for real, they try to "mend" people's lives by throwing away free money that ALWAYS creates spoiled individuals who will NEVER want to work again. They just had elections a few weeks ago. It's still a socialist country. And, imo, they are fixing things better here than they are in the US.

And I'm not sure about your analysis of the Portuguese diaspora leaving because of socialism. England has a pretty damn big diaspora, as does Ireland, the Netherlands, etc. They didn't leave their countries because of socialism. I'd have to read up on some studies of that, though.

Plus, I think you're wrong about minorities in Portugal. Many, many immigrants come here from Brazil and four African countries. Plus India, and Asian countries.

I dont think Gaon is. I think Pris is a lot of times lol, like its ShenLi or something. But Pris so sweet, so I just let it roll, and hope it really is Shen's mom lol.
