Luigi is an intelligent kid who comes from prvilege, but none of knows what he went through in his life to bring him to this. Obviously some mental health issues, and perhaps an abusive family, who knows. I don't think he's a hero, but he accomplished something decades of trying to use common sense did not accomplish.
