Seems the logic is...Microsoft will discontinue support for Windows 10 this year, make everyone switch to windows 11. But it won't be around much longer if the rumors are true. Cuz as soon as they do that, they'll roll out Windows 12.

Windows 11 seems more like a caretaker type OS - so that MS finds out what works, what doesn't before they go to 12.

No, @Joe , you can install W11 directly. Not that I'd recommend Windows 11.

Yeah, they have something called bootcamp, and it allows the user to install Windows directly on a Mac.

Crossover should also let you run just Windows applications individually.

So a person has gotta install these bootcamp drivers to make windows compatible with a mac.

On Linux, you can use a free app called Bottles to do the same thing.

You can't just install plain old windows without bootcamp I believe.
