A couple of my friends have had huskies. Chock full of personality. And hair. Which they shed nonstop.

Raised properly, they don't get separation anxiety, but even sans that issue, they're energetic and inquisitive in the extreme, which can add up to 'destructive' if they get bored.

I have a pit bull lab mix. Short hair. Hevstill sheds like crazy

Pitties can be the sweetest dogs ever, if raised properly.

I've been walking this huskie at the shelter. He's pretty wild and I get a workout every time

By default, pits are aggressively territorial -- over their geographic 'home' and their humans.

Training can tamp that down but never fully eradicate it.

Eddie is no exception. He was very jealous of me and my man. He has embraced life as a famiky dog very well though

Dealing with even domesticated animals means dealing with them within the framework of their own psychology. With dogs, you have to be the Pack Alpha. And if you're not, the dog will assume the role.

He is very attached to routine too. Right now im having coffee on the couch andbhe laying with me. This is very important to him and he will lead me to the couch on the morning if i try to sit at the table. Nope. Gotta be on the couch so he can lay next to me

LOL @ routine. It's been kind of nice being free of that. It's like we're leashed to the dog and not vice versa
